Virgie Floe McClure, Osceola

Virgie Floe McClure, 90, of Osceola died Saturday, Nov. 23 at Clarke County Hospital and was buried Nov. 26 in the St. Charles Cemetery. Pastor Jim Patrick of Indianola conducted the funeral services at Kale Funeral Home in Osceola.

McClure was born May 8, 1895, in the Broadhorn Community, the daughter of Pearl and Geneva Haynes Crawford. She attended Broadhorn Community Schools and was married Sept. 6, 1916 to Loren McClure at her parents’ home. She was affiliated with the Broadhorn Church in Warren County. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a sister, Nora Houlette, and three brothers, Fon, John and Orven Crawford. Surviving relatives are three sisters-in-law: Mrs. Roxie Crawford of Indianola, Edna Crawford of Osceola and Frances McClure of St. Charles.
