CHARITON, IA.—Services for Garland E. Reed, 79, of Chariton, who died of leukemia Sunday at Chariton Manor Nursing Home, will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Fielding Funeral Home here. Burial will be in the St. Charles town cemetery.

Mrs. Reed was born in St. Charles and lived in Chariton since 1964. She also had lived in Des Moines 11 years. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include two sons, Doyle E. Gripp of Chariton and Merrill L. Gripp of Indianola; a daughter, Darlene Huston of Indianola; a brother, Everett Bumbarger of Chariton; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Christian Church Disciples of Christ in Chariton or the Chariton Community Center.

Friends may call from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Fielding Funeral Home.
