Peter John Weil, 84 of Cumming, a retired farmer, died at his home Wednesday evening of a cerebral hemorrhage. He had been ill for three years. Services were held at 9 a.m. Saturday morning from St. Patrick’s Catholic church, Irish Settlement, Cumming, Iowa. A rosary was recited at 8 p.m. Monday at St. Patrick’s church where Mr. Weil will lay in state from Monday afternoon until time of services. Burial was in St. Patrick’s cemetery.

Mr. Weil, a former member of the Churchville parish, is survived by his wife Barbara, two sons John P. and Frank, both of Cumming; four daughters, Mrs. Ruth Murphy of Iowa City and Mrs. Agnes Kirk, Mrs. Mary Cash and Mrs. Dorothy Luebbers all of Des Moines; two brother and 15 grandchildren.
