Her Death Occurred Friday on Same Farm Where She Was Born
Mrs. Ida Jane Robinson, a life-long resident of Madison county, died Friday, April 2, at the home of her son, Ray Robinson, of Walnut township. She was 89 years of age.
Mrs. Robinson’s death occurred on the farm near Peru on which she was born and married.
She was born Feb. 13, 1865, a daughter of Nathanial and Mary Catherine Foster. She was married to Charles J. Robinson on April 19, 1883. They were parents of three children. Her husband and one son preceded her in death.
She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist church for 60 years.
She is survived by two children, Ray Robinson of Peru and Mrs. Myra Black of Grand Junction, Colo.; nine grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Ada Bolling of Des Moines, Alice Robinson and Mrs. Cora Orr of Winterset; and a brother, Earnest Foster of Salem, Ore.
Funeral services were held from the Richards Funeral home Sunday, conducted by Elder George Stone. Burial was made in the Peru cemetery.
