JOSEPH H. MILLER

Joseph H. Miller, an old resident and highly respected citizen of Ohio township, died at his home two miles northeast of Truro, about one o'clock a.m. Monday, Feb, 2, 1920 after only a few days' sickness.

Last Thursday as he was going to the wood pile, he fell and his granddaughter, Pauline, seeing him, ran to his assistance. He seemed confused and somewhat dazed but with some assistance, he managed to walk to the house. He was of the opinion that he would soon be all right and advised his daughter in law, Mrs. Miller, that no medical aid was needed. Later on that evening when his son, Walter, came home, he persuaded his father to let him call a physician and Dr. Anderson of Saint Charles, was summoned and after a careful examination, pronounced his fall due to hemorrhage of the brain.

Mr. Miller was about 87 years of age and since the death of his daughter, Mrs. Nettie Swezey, some 12 years ago, he has lived with his son, Walter, on the old homestead, where he settled soon after the close of the civil war.
