The greater part of her life was spent on their farm near Truro. In 1910 they moved to Truro, where her husband died April 21, 1912. In August 1915, she went to Thayer to make her home with her daughter, where she remained until she peacefully passed away, Jan. 27, 1920, after a brief illness.

She with her husband, united with the Christian church of Truro more than 40 years ago and remained a true Christian until the end.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Raybour of Thayer and the body taken to the New Virginia cemetery and laid beside her husband.
