Mrs. Mary Vorhies Longshore died at her home near Barney on Nov. 14th. For several months she had been declining in health, mainly because of her advanced age, 81 years.
Mrs. Longshore was a native of Guernsey county, Ohio and married Smith Longshore in 1856. For fifty years they made their home near Barney, and his death in 1902 was the first to break the family circle, except a child who died in infancy. Nine children survive their mother, who was a faithful and devoted homemaker and a lifelong member of the Christian church.
Funeral services were held in Barney on Sunday afternoon, Nov. 16.
