Miss Ellen V. Youngquist died at her home in Winterset on Thursday afternoon, October 16th. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Axel Youngquist, who brought their family to Winterset nine years ago. An illness and subsequent operation last March proved that her days were numbered and a period of great suffering preceded her death. Her patience and her cheerful spirit were marvelous throughout her decline
Miss Ellen was an earnest Christian and joined the Swedish Lutheran church in girlhood. Her real Christianity was evident to her many friends who admired the many good traits she possessed and loved her for her sweetness and amiability.
Dr. J. S. Corkey conducted funeral services at the Youngquist home on Friday afternoon. The remains were taken to Minnesota for burial.
