Lucy Ann Blair, daughter of Alexander and Amanda Scott Blair, was born Jan. 5, 1879 near Patterson, Ia., in Madison County and died Jan. 3, 1969, at the age of 89 years, 11 months and 28 days.

She grew to womanhood in the vicinity near Blair Chapel Church.

Mar. 26, 1903 she was united in marriage to Lute Moore of Medford in Warren County where they made their home three years. In 1906 they moved to Medora where she lived 57 years. To this union four children were born: Amanda, Blanche, Bernal and Robert.

She was a member of Medora Methodist Church and Ladies Aid.

She was preceded in deatth (sic) by her husband, Lute, Nov. 1, 1963, and since then had lived in Indianola.

She is survived by the two daughters and their husbands, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Hollingsworth of Indianola and Mr. and Mrs. Orlin Hines of Medora; the two sons and their wives, Mr. and Mrs. Bernal Moore of Stone Mountain, Ga., and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Moore of Indianola; 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Jan. 6 at the Peterson Funeral Home with the Rev. John C. Porath officiating. Interment was in the Blair Chapel Cemetery.
