HENRY IMES DIED TUESDAY, WAS 86

St. Charles, (Special)—Henry Imes, one of this community’s oldest and most respected citizens, died Tuesday at the Mercy hospital in Des Moines, where he had been a patient for the past three weeks. He was 86 years of age.

Mr. Imes had lived all his long life in or near St. Charles.

He is survived by his wife, who was the former Luella Brooker, and by their son, Newell Imes of Omaha, Neb.

Henry Imes, 86, Dies In Hospital

Henry Imes, retired farmer of St. Charles, died Tuesday morning in the Mercy hospital in Des Moines, where he had been a patient for three weeks. He was 86 years of age.

Mr. Imes had been a resident of South township during his lifetime and made farming is occupation while health permitted.

Funeral services will be held this afternoon Thursday at two o’clock in the Methodist church in St. Charles. Burial will be made in the St. Charles cemetery with the Masonic rites at the grave.

He is survived by his wife; one son, Newell of Omaha, Nebr., and one brother, W. J. Imes of South township.
