JOHN E. BOUGHTON OF SEATTLE DIED RECENTLY

John E. Boughton, a former resident of Winterset, died recently in Seattle, Wash., where he had lived since 1905. He was 65 years old.

Mr. Boughton left Winterset in 1903. He was born here, and left here for the Spanish American war, serving in the Cuban and Philippine campaigns. In Seattle he was a member of the police force from 1907 until 1936.
