Peru Happenings

Mrs. Susie Hogue attended the burial of her niece, Charlotte Lathrum, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Lathrum in St. Charles, Thursday. The little girl, who was 14 years old, had been an invalid and constant sufferer for the past four years. She died in the Iowa City hospital of bone infection. The funeral was held at Saylorville near the family home.

News of Interest from St. Charles

CHARLOTTE LATHRUM DIED AT IOWA CITY AFTER LONG ILLNESS

Charlotte, the fourteen year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Lathrum of near Ankeny, passed away Tuesday at the hospital in Iowa City. She had been ill for about six years with a bone infection which baffled all medical skill. Funeral services were held Thursday at Saylorville and burial was made in the St. Charles cemetery on Thursday afternoon. The family lived here a number of years before moving to their present home.
