MRS. GEORGE DIGGS OF WINTERSET SUCCUMBS

Funeral Rites Were Held Saturday From The Church of Christ

Mrs. George Diggs of Winterset died here on Wednesday of last week. She was 67 years of age.

Mrs. Diggs was the former Eliza Ann Daniel, and was born June 9, 1872, in Park county, Indiana. She came to Iowa with her parents in the fall of 1881 driving through in covered wagons. They settled on a farm west of St. Charles where her girlhood was spent.

She was reared in the United Brethren faith and became a member of that church in early life.

On Sept. 2, 1893, she was married to George Diggs. Their entire married life had been spent in or near Winterset.

She is survived by her husband, two sons, Earl Diggs of Kansas City, Mo., and Elmer Diggs of North English; a daughter, Mrs. Jennie Kobylosz of Des Moines, three grandchildren; a sister; and five brothers.

Funeral services were held from the Winterset Church of Christ last Saturday, conducted by the Rev. L. F. Davis, assisted by the Rev. Tom Foglesong. Burial was made in the Union Chapel cemetery.
