FUNERAL RITES HELD FOR ROLLO NIBLO HERE

Former Resident Died at Erie, Pennsylvania Last Thursday

Rollo Niblo, member of a well known Winterset family of a few years ago, was brought here for funeral services and burial Sunday, following his death last Thursday at Erie, Pa.

Mr. Niblo was born in Winterset on Nov. 15, 1899, the son of William and Anna Niblo. His father was a member of the firm of Niblo and Herring which operated a drug store for many years in the location now occupied by Montross Pharmacy. All his early life was spent in the community, and he graduated from high school here. He later moved to Des Moines, and about 10 years ago went to the Pennsylvania city where his death occurred, of a heart attack. He was 41 years of age.

In Erie he was manager of the parts department of an automobile firm.

He was a member of the United Presbyterian church of Winterset.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Irene Niblo; his mother, Mrs. Anna Niblo of Vinton; two brothers, Dr. Clyde Niblo of Dubuque and Raymond Niblo of Des Moines.

Funeral rites were conducted Sunday from the Ramsey-Richards funeral home in charge of the Rev. C. E. Courtney, pastor of the United Presbyterian church. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.

Wm. R. Niblo Dies In Erie

Funeral services for William R. Niblo, 52 years of age, who died in Erie, Pa., were held Sunday afternoon at two o’clock in the Ramsey–Richards funeral home. Rev. C. E. Courtney, pastor of the United Presbyterian church conducted and burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.

William Rollo Niblo was the son of William and Anna Niblo, and was born near Winterset on Nov. 15, 1899. He lived in Winterset and Des Moines until about ten years ago when he went to Erie, Pa., Which was his home until his death on Feb. 6.

He leaves his wife, Irene Niblo; two brothers, Dr. Clyde Niblo of Dubuque and Raymond Niblo of Des Moines.
