HARRY STONE, NATIVE OF WINTERSET, SUCCUMBS

Harry M. Stone, a native of Winterset, but a prominent citizen of Des Moines during most of his life, died on Tuesday of last week at his home in that city. He was 69 years of age. Death was due to cancer.

Mr. Stone was born in Winterset but moved to Des Moines with his parents when he was 12 years old. He entered the real estate business and did much toward the development of Iowa’s capital city.

He is survived by his wife, a son Robert Harry Stone of Des Moines, and a brother, Fred Stone of Medford, Mass.

He was buried in the Woodland cemetery.
