Mary Eleanor Johnson, 69, of Milford, Mich., formerly of Winterset, died on Monday, Jan. 2, 2012.
A Gathering and Memorial Service for family and friends will be held at United Presbyterian Church (209 N 2nd Ave E in Newton, Iowa) on Saturday, Jan. 14, from 1:30-4pm. Her final resting place is Hillside Cemetery in Sheffield, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her children, Carmen Tigges of Rochester, Mich.; Quenten Johnson of Murray; Klaressa Howery of Rochester, Mich.; Celeste Downs of Asheville, NC; and Harley Joe Johnson II of Creston; and eight grandchildren.
Memorials made to Meals on Wheels of Iowa (819 5th St SE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52401) are appreciated.
