HELD FUNERAL SERVICES FOR PAUL R. CROSBY AT MITCHELLVILLE

Last week we mentioned briefly the death of Paul R. Crosby and since then a more detailed account of his life and death was sent to us and we send it in this week, knowing it will be of interest to his many friends here.

Paul grew to manhood near St. Charles and taught several years in the public schools of Madison and Polk counties. After that he was employed in a bank at Mitchellville. Later he entered the World war, for a number of months, where his health impaired and he had spent the past seven years in a hospital in Denver, although his death was caused by pneumonia. He was 55 years old and never married.

He is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Katie Fee of St. Charles, Mrs. Rosa Schlinker and Mrs. Mary Mally of near Des Moines, and two brothers Scott of near Granger and Lee of Pennsylvania who came to attend the funeral services at Mitchellville on March 22. The Rev. A. M. Simpson of Norwalk had charge of the services and Mrs. Z. L. Kinnaird and son Deane accompanied Mrs. Fee and Willard to Mitchellville to be present at the services. Masonic rites were given at the cemetery, also military services by the American Legion post.
