Page 4W. P. GUIBERSON'S Ashes Buried Here
The ashes of W. P. Guiberson,known here as “Billy” Guiberson, were brought to Winterset on Friday from Los Angeles and interred with the ceremonies of the B.P.O.E.. Mr. Guiberson's death occurred several months ago in California, his remains being cremated in accordance with his request and sent here later to rest in the Guiberson family lot.
His father was I. D. Guiberson, an early pioneer of Madison county, who took a prominent part in the political and business life of Winterset, being a lawyer by profession. His mother was Miss Elizabeth Parker. One sister survives Mr. Guiberson, Mrs. Kate Wray, now of Los Angeles.

Page 1, Column 4Willis Parker Guiberson passed away from this life at his home in the Heiman Apartments at Los Angeles, California, March 12, 1917, at 7:30 a. m., aged 63 years.
Mr. Guiberson was in his usual health the evening of the 11th and had been in company with his wife and niece out to dinner, but was taken with neuralgia of the heart.
Mr. Guiberson was engaged in business in the "Brack Shops" building the most exclusive line of shops in Los Angeles, being the proprietor of the Guiberson Embroidery Co.
He is survived by his wife, the son, Paul, and the sisters, Mrs. Kate Wray and Mrs. Cora Eyre.
The services were at Pierces' parlors, which were filled with Winterset, Des Moines and Los Angeles friends and were conducted by the Elks. Many beautiful flower's were sent by friends including a handsome wreath from the Des Moines lodge. The pall bearers were boyhood friends, Robert Goshorn, Alvin Shriver, Tom Young, George McCaughan, Andy Crawford and Joseph Dabney.
By request the body was cremated.
