Susie Partridge was born on July 4, 1869, in Fulton county, Georgia and died at the Winterset hospital November 15, 1936, aged 65 years, 4 months and 11 days.

She grew to womanhood in the state of Georgia. On November 5, 1902 she was united in marriage to Oakley Woods. They came to Iowa in 1902 and located at Lake City. In 1906 they moved to California. In 1919 the family returned to Iowa and in 1928 located in Madison county where they have since made their home.

Those who mourn her passing are the husband and a nephew, Paul McDowell, who had lived with them since he was a very young child.

There are many other friends and neighbors who mourn the passing of this good woman. She was a true wife, a friendly neighbor.

Services were conducted from Tidrick’s Funeral home at 10:30 Tuesday, November 17 by Rev H. L. Olmstead. Interment was made in the Peru cemetery.
