JOHN WESLEY RODERICK IS RETURNED HERE FOR BURIAL

The body of John Wesley Roderick of Minneapolis, Minnesota was brought here last week for burial. On Sunday morning, November 22 Mr. Roderick accidentally fell over the banister down two flights of stairs at his home. He suffered skull and leg fractures and never regained consciousness, passing away that night. It is thought possible that a stroke was the cause of the fall. Lloyd D. Fisher and John Spatz went to Minneapolis for the body.

Mr. Roderick was born in Jefferson township and would have been 61 years old on January 3, 1937. For the past twenty-five years he had been foreman of a produce company in Minneapolis.

He is survived by two brothers, Alex of Chicago, Ill., and Perry of Earlham, two sisters Mrs. Mary Kemp of Winterset and Mrs. Fred Meyer of Van Meter. The funeral was held at the Jefferson United Brethren church, Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock conducted by the pastor, the Rev. E. A. Elliott.
