MRS. CATHERINE ATTIG DIED HERE AT THE AGE OF 88 YEARS

This week we record the death of Mrs. Catherine Attig, a woman held in high esteem by all who knew her. She was past 88 years of age and had resided in and near St. Charles for more than forty years. For a number of years she had her home in town, but preferred the country home of her two sons, John and Will, and had made her home with them where she was tenderly cared for in her declining years. She had been in very poor health for about three years, but she passed away very suddenly, Friday, November 7.

She is survived by seven children, John, William and Mrs. Catherine Fleck of St. Charles, Mrs. Anna Wyatt of California, Fred of Ladysmith, Wisc., Mrs. Lillie Stoneman of near Truro, and Mrs. Lenna Clark of Baxter.

Funeral services were held on Monday afternoon at two o’clock at the United Presbyterian church and burial was in the St. Charles cemetery beside her husband who passed away in 1923.
