MORTUARY

Donna McKinney-Moore

Donna McKinney-Moore was born in Polk county, Iowa, June 8, 1894 and passed away at the Methodist hospital, Oct. 18, 1918, age 24 years, 4 months and 10 days. Spanish influenza, followed by pneumonia, caused her death.

She spent most of her life in Madison county, coming here when but five years old. After her father's death in 1912, she moved to Runnells with the remainder of the family. She was united in marriage to Joe S. Moore of Runnells, Nov. 16, 1913, to which union were born two boys, Raymond Laverne, born March 2, 1915, and Stewart Rodney born July 12, 1917 and departed Oct. 27, 1918 with influenza and pneumonia.

Mrs. Moore became a member of the M. E. church when quite young. She was devoted to her home duties, placing them above all others and devoted to the welfare of her children. Mrs. Moore had a large circle of relatives and friends in Madison and Polk counties who will feel her loss very keenly and who will miss her very much in her eternal absence.

She was taken to Runnells where a private funeral was held at two p. m., then laid to rest in the Loman cemetery by her father, Marion McKinney. She leaves to mourn her departure, a husband, Joe Moore, a son, Raymond of Des Moines; a mother, Mrs. Lillie McKinney of Patterson; two sisters; Fern McClain of Luther, Iowa and Janice McKinney of Des Moines; a brother, Leonard McKinney of Patterson and a host of relatives and friends.
