Death of Frank Trumbauer

Patterson—(Special)—March 3- Frank Trumbauer, Crawford township farmer, died at the Winterset hospital, Saturday morning, February 29th, following a short illness with appendicitis and complications. Mr. Trumbauer, who lives a mile southwest of Bevington, was brought to the local hospital and operated upon that night, for a ruptured appendix.

Mr. Trumbauer, who was a son of E. J. and Emma J. Trumbauer was born in Jessup, Iowa, March 2, 1884. At the age of six years, he moved with his parents to Marcus, where he received his education. He has been a resident of Madison county since 1903. In 1907 he was married to Miss Blanche Collins, who survives him. Others surviving him, include his father, E. J. Trumbauer, of St. Charles and four sisters, Mrs. Mae L. Davis of Des Moines, Mrs. Adaline Burkhead of Sioux City, and Mrs. Blanche Roberts and Mrs. Gayle Carter both of St. Charles. His mother and three brothers, Edwin, Irvin and LaVern have preceded him in death.

The Rev. E. L. Patterson, pastor of the Patterson Methodist church conducted his funeral services, which were held at Tidrick’s funeral home in Winterset, Monday March 2nd, at two o’clock, and burial was in the McGinnis cemetery, northwest of Patterson. The quartette of the Patterson church furnished the music, and pall bearers were Walkup Carter, Harry Roberts, Ray Trumbauer, Gerald Burkhead, Everett Wray and Charles Raymond.

FRANK TRUMBAUER FUNERAL RITES HELD SATURDAY AT WINTERSET

Funeral services for Frank A. Trumbauer, who died at the Winterset hospital last Saturday, were held at Tidrick’s funeral home on Monday at two o’clock. Mr. Trumbauer, born March 2nd, 1884, was taken to the Winterset hospital last week suffering from a ruptured appendix. Shortly after the operation complications developed which necessitated a second operation which resulted in his death. Rev. Elmer Patterson of Patterson was the officiating clergyman. Pall bearers were Walkup Carter, Barry Roberts, Ray Trumbauer, Gerald Burkhead, Everett Wray and Chas. Raymond. Interment was in the McGinnis cemetery west of Patterson.
