Myra Mae Schoenenberger, 85, of Windsor Heights, passed away Saturday, July 18, 2009, of heart failure at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 22, at Windsor Heights Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Glendale Cemetery. Visitation will be after 3 p.m., with family present from 5 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, July 21, at Westover Funeral Home in Des Moines.

Myra was born April 12, 1924, in Nevada, Iowa. She graduated from Nevada High School in 1942. She married John Phillip Schoenenberger in August 1951.

She worked at RR Donnelley in Nevada. She attended and volunteered at Windsor Heights Lutheran Church for more than 50 years. She was a lifelong resident of Windsor Heights. She enjoyed sewing, elderberries and flowers.

She is survived by one son, Terry Schoenenberger, of Des Moines; one daughter, Cindy (Raleigh) Hutt, of Des Moines; two grandchildren, Amanda (Aaron) Core, of Indianola, and Brice Hutt, of Waverly; one great-grandchild, Aiden Core, of Indianola; and one brother, Marvin McBride, of Nevada.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Phillip Schoenenberger.

Memorial contributions may be made to Windsor Heights Lutheran Church or the American Heart Association.
