Bill Diggs, Winterset

Lifetime Winterset resident Bill Diggs died Tuesday, Aug. 28, at Care Center North at the age of 98. Funeral services will be held at Collins Funeral Home at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 30. Burial will be at Union Chapel Cemetery.

Born Feb. 14, 1886 in Winterset, he was the son of James and Jane Cooper Diggs. He and his wife Clara, who preceded him in death, locally engaged in the hauling business for many years.

He is survived by nieces and nephews.
