The little daughter born to Mr. and Mrs. Robert Scrivener on Saturday, February 9th, passed away Thursday. As H. A. Reed was bringing the body to St. Charles for burial on Friday afternoon, the automobile stuck in the mud about two miles west of town and four or five men carried the little casket the entire distance to the cemetery. Relatives trying to get to the burial plowed through the mud and finally got stuck having to have help to get out.
