Mrs. Margaret Vertz, 88, passed away at her home in Berwick early Sunday, March 3rd and funeral services were held at the Hamilton funeral home in Des Moines Tuesday afternoon with burial in the St. Charles cemetery beside her husband who passed away __ years ago, the family living in the community at that time. A few years ago, a daughter, Mrs. Alice Runkle was also brought back here for burial in the family lot. Three sons and four daughters survive the mother.

Mrs. Margaret Vertz, 88, died Sunday morning at Berwick and funeral services were held at Hamilton funeral home Tuesday morning and burial was made in the St. Charles cemetery.
Mrs. Vertz, after the death of her husband, lived several years ago in St. Charles. About twenty-five years ago she sold her home and lived with her children.
Surviving her are four daughters, Mrs. W. M. Wilson of Berwick; Mrs. Chester Wyman of Des Moines; Mrs. John McGinnie of Birmingham, Alabama; and Mrs. Tom Davey of Stockton, Kansas; and three sons, W. D. Vertz of Altoona; A. C. Vertz of Glasgow, Montana; and George Vertz of Sunnyside, Washington.
