Funeral services for Eva Belle Silverthorn, a lifetime resident of Madison County, were held at Collins funeral Home on Saturday, May 16. She was 88 years old.
Mrs. Silverthorn, who had been living in Winterset, died Wednesday, May 13, at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines.
Born February 25, 1893 in Madison County, she was the daughter of Moses Orisen Brady and Emma Akin.
On Dec. 24, 1912, she was married to Dan Silverthorn in Monroe Township. Three sons and one daughter, who died in infancy, were born to the couple. Mr. Silverthorn passed away in 1972.
A homemaker, Mrs. Silverthorn attended the Foursquare Church and was a charter member of the Friendly Circle Club in Monroe Township
Besides her parents, husband and daughter, she was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters. She is survived by her three sons, Dale of Norwalk, Dwight of Lorimor, and Dean of Kashkonong, Mo.
Burial was at Moon Cemetery.
