Services for Grace Bertholf

Funeral services for Grace W. Bertholf were held Wednesday, Nov. 5 at 1:30 p.m. from Collins Funeral Home in Winterset. Mrs. Bertholf, 82, died Monday, Nov. 3, 1975 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. Burial was made at the U.B. Jefferson Cemetery in Madison County.

Death Claims Grace Bertholf

A rural school teacher and homemaker in Madison County, Grace W. Bertholf, died Monday, November 3, 1975, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. She was 82 years of age.

Mrs. Bertholf was living in West Des Moines prior to her death. She had been a resident of Madison County for 32 years.

Born August 9, 1893 in Madison County, Mrs. Bertholf was the daughter of Seth Walker and Joanna McDonald Walker. She was married to Davisson D. Bertholf on October 15, 1921 in Creston.

Mrs. Bertholf was a member of the U.B. Methodist Church since 1925.

Survivors include a son, Walker Bertholf of West Des Moines, three grandchildren, two brothers, Raymond Walker of Minneapolis, Minn., Russell Walker of Gilroy, Calif., and two sisters, Gladys McNerney of Napa, Calif. and Mary Smith of Vallejo, Calif.

Mrs. Bertholf was preceded in death by her husband on February 28, 1971 and by her parents and an infant daughter.

Funeral services for Grace W. Bertholf were held Wednesday, Nov. 5, 1975 at 1:30 p.m. from Collins Funeral Home in Winterset with the Rev. Newton M. Coughenour presiding. Burial was made at the U.B. Jefferson Cemetery in Madison County.
