Services Held for Former Resident

Services were held Saturday, November 15th, at the Westover Funeral Home in Des Moines for Wendell A. Whitlow, 75, who died Wednesday of a heart attack at his home. Burial was at Resthaven Cemetery.

Mr. Whitlow was born in Winterset, the son of Marion and Josephine Whitlow, but had lived in the Des Moines area most of his life and worked as a plasterer before his retirement. He was a member of the Windsor Heights Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his wife, Hazel, a son Jack of Des Moines, two stepsons, Donald Weaver of Lakewood, California and Darin Weaver of Des Moines; four sisters, Mrs. Mary Tyler of Ankeny, Mrs. Orie Hildebrand of Winterset, and Mrs. LaDena Christiansen and Mrs. Maxine Scott, both of Des Moines.

Those from Winterset attending the services included Mr. and Mrs. Orie Hildebrand, Mr. and Mrs. M. A. Allen, Mrs. Hiram Allen and Charlie Allen.
