Evans Funeral Last Friday

Hershal Robert Evans, a resident of Madison County since 1963 when he moved to a farm in Lincoln Township with his family from Granger, Iowa, died Tuesday, August 5, 1975 at Methodist Hospital in Des Moines. His age was 67.

Mr. Evans was the son of John H. Evans and Pearle Williams, born November 1, 1907 in Big Creek, Missouri. Mr. Evans and his family moved to Granger in 1938.

On October 1, 1927, he was married to Beulah Browne in Houston, Missouri. Mrs. Evans survives her husband with three children: Georgia Lee Bryant, Berta Lee Kordick and Della Ann Stephenson.

Farming was Mr. Evans’ occupation during his active life. He was affiliated with the Ord Christian Union Church.

Also surviving Mr. Evans are 13 grandchildren, two great grandchildren; two brothers, Herman Evans of Willow Springs, Mo., and Lester Evans of Cabool, Mo., and one sister, Mrs. Ruth Hunter of Cabool, Mo.

Mr. Evans was preceded in death by his parents, one brother (Delmer) and an infant son, Robert.

Funeral services for Mr. Evans were conducted August 8, 1975 at 10:30 a.m. from Collins Funeral Home in Winterset, with Jack L. Eggers officiating. Burial was made in the Winterset Cemetery.
