Services for Viva Dudney

A resident of Madison County for twenty years, Viva Marie Dudney, 64, died Friday, August 8, 1975 at Collins Memorial Hospital in Knoxville, Iowa. Her residence in Winterset was at 307 E. Filmore.

Mrs. Dudney was born January 16, 1911, in Hastings, Nebraska, the daughter of Lewis Nicholson and Effie Dowty. She was married to Everett Dudney on July 5, 1928 in Creston.

A housewife and nurse’s aid during her active life, Mrs. Dudney was affiliated with the Grace Baptist Church.

Mrs. Dudney is survived by three children: Doyle Dudney of St. Charles, Iowa, Carol Swackhamer of Tracy, Iowa and Donna Libby of St. Charles, Iowa; also nine grandchildren and one great grandchild.

One brother and one sister also survive Mrs. Dudney. They are Everett Nicholson and Twyla Hammer, both of San Antonio, Texas.

Funeral services for Viva Dudney were conducted Monday August 11, 1975 at 10:30 a.m. from Grace Baptist Church in Winterset, the Rev. Earl E. Swigart of Norwalk officiating. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
