Funeral services were held here last Friday for Ida May Gray, a longtime resident of Winterset. Mrs. Gray died at Madison Manor North in Winterset last Tuesday, March 18, at the age of 86.
Ida May Gray was born at Council Bluffs on July 29, 1888, the daughter of Granville and Susie Benge Compton. She was married to Floyd Compton Gray at Winterset on January 8, 1905.
Mrs. Gray had resided in Madison County for most of her lifetime, with the exception of several years spent in Kansas City, Mo.
Mrs. Gray was preceded in death by her husband on June 23, 1971. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one son at birth, and by three brothers.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. last Friday, March 21 at the Collins Funeral Home in Winterset, with the Rev. Eldon E. Jandebeur officiating. Burial was in the Primitive Baptist Cemetery near Winterset.
