Donald Gene Rankin, 33, of 107 E. 14th Court died Tuesday in Prairie City. The cause of death has not yet been determined, pending results of an autopsy. Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Capitol Hill Christian Church, of which he was a member. Burial will be at the Winterset Cemetery.

Mr. Rankin was a lifelong resident of Des Moines and had been employed by General Mills.

Survivors include a son, Donald of Des Moines; two daughters, Danielle Rankin and Dara Rankin, both of Norwalk; three brothers, Rex and Ron, both of Des Moines, and Max of Prairie City; and two sisters, Cindy Hudson and Dianna Brouwer, both of Des Moines.

Friends may call until service time at the funeral home, where family will greet friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday.
