Julia D. McGinnis, 73, of Norwalk died of an aneurysm Wednesday at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Gallaway-McLaren’s Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in the St. Charles Cemetery.

Mrs. McGinnis was born in Vincent, Ala., and lived in Des Moines for 48 years before moving to Norwalk last year. She and her husband, John, retired after 33 years as owners of the Golden Age Retirement Home in Des Moines, where she had been a member of Grace United Methodist Church.

Among survivors are her husband; two sons, John G. of Des Moines and Jerry of Rochester, Minn.; a brother, Emmerson Thompson of Childersburg, Ala.; and four grandchildren.

Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to her church.
