Penn Center Burial For Otis Sirdoreus

Otis Sirdoreus died July 31st at the age of 82 in an Indianola nursing home.

He was born March 22, 1890 at Eunice, Missouri.

He was one of a family of 11 children, the son of Jacob and Callista Sirdoreus.

He lived his younger life in Missouri and came to Iowa in 1922 with his brother Fred and settled in the Dexter Community, working as a farm hand.

In 1952 he went to live with a niece, Mrs. John King.

In 1965 he went to live with another niece, Mrs. Wesley Choate who had a nursing home in Indianola.

His parents, five brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.

Three sisters survive him: Mrs. Bessie Garrison of Indianola, Mrs. Annie Smith of Yale, Iowa, and Mrs. Cora Fox of Jamaica, Iowa.

Services were held August 2nd at the Overton funeral home in Indianola with the Rev. John C. Porath officiating.

Burial was in the Penn Center cemetery.
