SAMUEL LEE COCHRAN, SR.

Memorial services for Samuel Lee Cochran, Sr., 44, will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, July 10, 2011 at Iles Funeral Homes - Grandview Park Chapel. Burial will be at Graham Cemetery, rural Mingo, Iowa. Sam took his life on Sunday, July 3, 2011.

Sam was a journeyman Iron Worker for Local 67 since 1995, he also did carpenter work with his cousins. When not working, you could probably find Sam out on a lake boating, fishing or having a drink with some friends.

Sam is survived by his two sons, Ricky and Cole Cochran and his daughter, Tanner Cochran all of Des Moines; his parents, Gary Cochran of Winterset and Rick and Anna Davis of Des Moines; his brothers, Cade Cochran of Hampton and Kit and Sherryl Cochran and their sons, Tyson and Jason of Woodward; and numerous other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his son, Sam Cochran, Jr. and his grandparents, Don and Helma Graham and Don and Bobbi Cochran.

Sam will be greatly missed by all who knew him and will remember him for his great sense of humor. You met Sam as a stranger, but left as a friend. He had an easy going attitude that was impossible not to like. Even though the presence of Sam is gone, the memories and stories he left us with will be greatly cherished by all.
