Funeral was Thursday in Riverview Abby for F. Fred Shearer, a plaster contractor who died Monday at a Portland hospital. He was 77 years of age.
Mr. Shearer was a partner in Shearer & Sons Plastering Contractors, which was founded in 1916 by his father.
He was born August 18, 1901, in Winterset, Iowa and moved to Oregon at the age of 5.
Mr. Shearer was a member of the Downtown Lions Club, the Multnomah Athletic Club, and Columbia - Edgewater Country Club. He also was a member of the Shriners and the Masonic Lodge.
He is survived by his wife, Lucille, one son, David C. of Portland; one daughter, Sharon L. Harber of Portland and six grandchildren.
