Services for Mrs. Lydia Ringgenberg, 97, of 608 15th Ave. S. E., will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 21, at the First Presbyterian Church, 318 S. Kline St., with Rev. James Peterson officiating.
Burial will be in the Columbia Cemetery.
The Huble Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Ringgenberg died Saturday, March 18 at the Colonial Manor in Groton.
Visitation will be from 8 a.m. Monday until noon Tuesday and at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until the service Tuesday at the church. Relatives will meet at the church at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Lydia Dunaway was born December 31, 1880, at Winterset, Iowa. As a child she moved with her family to Lytton, Iowa where she attended school and grew to womanhood. She married Frank Ringgenberg September 28, 1904 in Rockwell City, Iowa.
They farmed three miles west of Columbia until 1945 when they retired and moved into Aberdeen. Mr. Ringgenberg died in July 1950, and Mrs. Ringgenberg continued to live in Aberdeen. She had been residing at the manor in Groton the past year.
Survivors include three sons, Arthur, Harley and Keith, all of Columbia; two daughters, Mrs. Mrs. Walter (Vivian) Schliebe, Aberdeen, and Mrs. Egon (Velma) Buntrock of Columbia; one sister, Mrs. Robert (Lillian) Powell of Terril, Iowa; twenty grandchildren and thirty-nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, three sons, three brothers, three sisters and one grandson.
