Robert J. Newlon

Graveside services for Robert J. Newlon, 76, of Guadalajara, Mexico, a former Dallas resident and owner of Newlon Manufacturing Co., will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in Laurel Land Memorial Park in Dallas.

Newlon died December 19 at his home.

He was a native of Winterset, Iowa and lived in Dallas for about 50 years. He moved to Mexico in 1972.

Newlon founded Newlon Manufacturing Co. in 1947. He was a Shriner, a Mason and a member of the Texas Game Fishing Club, Woods and Waters Club and Rod and Gun Club in Guadalajara.

He is survived by his wife, Luna, three daughters, Roberta J. Taylor, Druscilla Wiles and Rosemany Forray; a brother Clarke Newlon; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
