Joan Mead Services Held

Services for Mrs. Joan Mead, 37, of Des Moines, who died Friday, January 11 at the Iowa Methodist Hospital of a heart attack, were held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Airport Baptist Church in Des Moines with burial at Winterset. Rev. Richard Mohr officiated at the services.

A native of Iowa City, Mrs. Mead had formerly lived in Riverview, Michigan before moving to Des Moines three years ago. She was a member of the Grace Baptist Church in Winterset.

Survivors include her husband, Ronald, two sons, Steven, at home and Brian Pettit of Winterset; two daughters, Julie, at home and Mrs. --------- of Creston; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Conard of Des Moines; a sister, Mrs. Frederick Meyer of Des Moines; a brother, Kenneth Conard of Winterset.

Among those from this community attending the services in Des Moines were, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Conard and sons, Joel and Daniel, Pastor and Mrs. Lon Reising, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Shafer, Robert Gideon, Mr. and Mrs. John Safford, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Carter, Mr. and Mrs. Roger Hircock, Mrs. Fern Day, Mrs. Mabel Cline, Mrs. Joan Hager, Mr. and Mrs. Dick Silliman, Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Mahan, Mr. and Mrs. Dean Hoeness, and Brian Pettit. Mrs. Paula Stout also attended.
