Mary Katherine Bodwell, 74, of Avinger, Texas, died April 8, 2011, after battling cancer.
Mary was born Dec. 30, 1936, in Madison County to the family of Leonard and Cleo (Snyder) Bindel. Mary grew up in Winterset and graduated from Winterset High School. On March 9, 1962, she married Robert Bodwell of Winterset. They both worked and raised their family around Winterset before retiring and moving to Avinger, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Kimberly Sue Bodwell; two sisters, Violet and Wilma; and a brother, Carl.
She is survived by her husband, Bob Bodwell of Avinger; her son Phillip Bodwell of Winterset; brothers Frank Bindel of Chandler, Ariz., and Charles Bindel of Whittmann, Ariz.; sisters Leona Nanny of Hannibal, Mo., Louise Powell of Sedalia, Mo., and Eva Harrison of Afton.
