Darina Florence Woolery, 92, of Carlisle, formerly of Truro, died April 5, 2011, at Carlisle Care Center in Carlisle.

Funeral services were held Saturday, April 9, at Kale Funeral home in Truro with Rev. Kevin Smith officiating. Interment will be in the New Virginia Cemetery in New Virginia. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Central Iowa in Darina's name.

Darina Florence Woolery, the daughter of Boyd Bryan Reither and Mary Emma (Cox) Reither, was born Feb. 12, 1919, in Warren County. Darina spent all of her life living in Warren County near Truro and New Virginia. She was united in marriage to Charles Granville Woolery on June 18, 1940, at Mt. Ayr. They made their home on a farm near her childhood family farm. She attended the Broadhorn Church and New Virginia Christian Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband Granville and two sisters.

She is survived by her daughter, Deanna Salamon; two grandsons, and several nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and many other relatives and friends.

Darina Florence Woolery, daughter of Boyd Bryan Reither and Mary Emma (Cox) Reither was born February 12, 1919 in Warren County, Iowa and passed from this life Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at Carlisle Care Center in Carlisle, Iowa at 92 years of age.

Darina has spent all of her life living in Warren County near Truro and new Virginia. She was united in marriage to Charles Granville Woolery on June 18, 1940 at Mt. Ayr, Iowa; and one daughter, Deanna, blessed this union. They made their home on a farm near her childhood family farm.

Darina enjoyed Bible study groups and helped with many activities while attending the Broadhorn Church and New Virginia Christian Church. She enjoyed the community activities of Truro, New Virginia and St. Charles. She always attended the Old Settler's reunions. Darina took several trips with the senior groups in the area, going several times to Branson and The Ozarks.

Those relatives who preceded Darina in death were her parents; husband Granville and two sisters.
She leaves to cherish her memory, daughter, Deanna Salamon and grandsons, Kevin Woolery and Shawn (Wendy) Woolery all of Lockport, Louisiana; nephews, Don (Jane) Bowlin of Des Moines, Dennis (Judy) Bowlin of Carlisle and Darell Bowlin of Carlisle; several great nieces and great nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Memorial contributions may be directed to Hospice of Central Iowa.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service on Saturday at Kale Funeral Home in Truro. Funeral service will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, April 9, 2011 at Kale Funeral Home in Truro, Iowa. Interment at New Virginia Cemetery in New Virginia, Iowa will follow the funeral services on Saturday.
