BETTY CANFIELD, OHIO

Betty E. Canfield, 92, of Hudson, Ohio, formerly of Des Moines, died Tuesday, April 5, 2011.

A memorial service will be held at Park Avenue Presbyterian Church in Des Moines at a later date. Services have been entrusted to Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Streetsboro Chapel.

She was born Feb. 9, 1919, in Winterset to Hubert and Alma (Johnston) Fosher. Betty was a very active member of the Park Avenue Presbyterian Church in Des Moines and was active in many community service projects.

She is survived by her daughter Marcia Kelly of Hudson, Ohio; sons Irving Canfield of Woodburn, Ore., and Ward Canfield of Mt. Prospect, Ill.; and six grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Earle L. Canfield.
