Harold R. Ackelson

Services for Harold R. Ackelson, 68, of 515 E. Locust St., who died there Wednesday of a heart attack, will be at 10:30 a.m. at Hamilton's Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Peru Cemetery in Peru.

A native of Peru, Mr. Ackelson moved to Des Moines 40 years ago. He was a retired machinist at Pittsburgh - Des Moines Steel Co.

Mr. Ackelson is survived by two sons, Carrol B. of Altoona and Harold E. of Des Moines; two daughters, Arlene McCoy of Cedar Rapids and Shirley Graham of Des Moines; two brothers, Emory of Ankey, and Ilot of Des Moines; a sister, Millie Downs of Des Moines; twelve grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
