Memorial service for Harold M. Rhodes, 81, will be at 4 p.m. Thursday at the English Funeral Chapel, Coeur d'Alene. Mr. Rhodes died Monday at Kootenai Medical Center.
He was born in Winterset, Iowa, and moved with his parents to North Idaho in 1918. He married Wacele Wooster in 1937.
For 39 years he served as the fixedbase operator of North Idaho Aviation and also was the Coeur d'Alene Airport manager. He retired in 1988. He was the past president of the Coeur d'Alene Eagles Lodge and was involved with North Idaho Air Search and Rescue. He enjoyed flying, hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his wife, Wacele, at home; two daughters, Lora Krauss of Spokane and Lila Rhodes of Seattle; one sister, Gladys Leavitt of Kennewick; and two grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Coeur d'Alene Eagles Lodge.
