Gertrude B. Kendrick a San Diego resident for nearly 68 years, passed away May 29, 1993.

For the last three years she has been a resident of the Stanford Court Nursing Center of La Mesa, where she appeared on "10 Friends," a KGTV program which featured elderly citizens recounting their own childhood experiences to grade school children.

Prior to her entry in the nursing center, she was an active member of the San Diego Woman's Club and a member of Christ Church Unity.

Mrs. Kendrick was born in Winterset, Iowa, August 23, 1893. Her death came a scant three months prior to her one hundredth birthday.

She is survived by her son John Kendrick and his wife Lois of Mountain View, California, and her daughter-in-law Nancy Kendrick of San Diego. She leaves three surviving grandchildren and eight surviving great grandchildren.

Memorial services 2 p.m. Saturday, June 12, at Christ Church Unity, 3770 Altadena Ave., S.D.

Private entombment Cypress View Mausoleum.
