Edward Fuller Palmer was born near Winthrop, Maine, August 1, 1845, and departed this life at Denver, Colo., June 12, 1921, at the age of 75 years, 10 months and 11 days.

On Feb. 16, 1866, he married Flora May Burgess at Lawrence, Mass. To this union were born six children, two daughters dying in infancy, and a son, who died July 12, 1889. The three surviving children are: Mrs. F. S. Murrell of Winterset; Mrs. B. W. McFall and Mrs. F. W. Gibbons, both at Denver.

In June 1868, Mr. Palmer moved his family from Lawrence, Mass., to Madison county, Iowa, where he remained until 1910 when he retired from farming activities and moved to Lorimor. Shortly after the death of his wife, which occurred June 23, 1917, Mr. Palmer went to Denver, Colo., to spend his remaining years with his daughter, Mrs. Gibbons.

For the past two years the deceased has been gradually failing in health and about two months ago suffered a paralytic stroke, from which he failed to survive. His last few weeks of life were spent in bed, but without pain or suffering and the end came peacefully, with all his living children present.

Besides his three daughters, Mr. Palmer leaves to mourn his loss, eight grandchildren, two nieces, one nephew and a host of friends.

Burial was made in the family plot in the Barney cemetery on Friday, June 17, Rev. C. R. Brieholz officiating.
