Death of Mrs. Israel Brant

Patterson, March 20. Special---Mrs. Israel Brant died at her home north of Patterson, on Sunday, March 17th after an illness of several weeks.

Clara Elizabeth Sibel was born in Sigourney, Iowa, on March 19, 1856. She lacked but two days of being 73 years old.

When twelve years old, the family moved to Johnson county, where she was married to Israel Brant in 1875. To this union were born twelve children; eight dying in infancy.

While planning for their new home, the couple joined the Presbyterian church of Oxford. Seven years ago, Mr. and Mrs. Brant moved to Patterson, where they own their farm.

Mrs. Brant is survived by her husband and three sons, Will, of Colorado Springs; Albert and Sam, of Patterson and a daughter, Emma Heeb, of Veil, South Dakota. Three sisters survive, Mrs. M. Brant, of Lorimor, who is with the family; Mrs. Jamison, of the state of Washington, and Mrs. Zimmerman, of Murray.

Funeral services were held from the Methodist church on Tuesday with burial at Mt. Pelier cemetery.
