Death of Joseph Mattauch

Van Meter, Dec. 24. Special---

Joseph Mattauch died Monday evening, December 23, at the Otto Fundinger home. He was born in Bohemia in 1873, and came to this country at the age of six. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Fundinger, a sister, Mrs. Will Vaudt, of Livermore, and two half-brothers, William Fundinger, of Kingsley, and Otto Fundinger, of Van Meter.

The funeral services were conducted by the Rev. C. Lillie Tuesday afternoon, December 24th, and he was laid to rest in the Trinity Lutheran cemetery in Jefferson township.
